● TASK
I designed the branding and wine labels for a very small garage winery. The winery is located in one of Hungary’s traditional wine regions and was founded by two enthusiastic young individuals. They believe in the quality of traditional winemaking, so instead of mass-producing with reductive methods, they make their wines with spontaneous fermentation, aging them in oak barrels. This wine series is the result of seven years of hard and dedicated work.
The mission of the two young winemakers is to preserve traditions and maintain naturalness. Additionally, experimentation plays a significant role in their work.
● APPROACH

When designing the branding for the winery, tradition and playfulness were the two most important aspects. The concept is based on illustrations that draw inspiration from the world of fairy tales, and the everyday life of simple village life. Each wine label tells a story. These stories are narrated by a little bird, which also appears in the emblem.

The packaging design emphasizes simplicity. The wine bottles are sealed with traditional cork stoppers, protected by a layer of colorful wax, ensuring the wines can be preserved for years. The distinct appearance of the wines is characterized by the simple glass, the colors, illustrations, and the wax seal used. The wax seal featuring the logo is a recurring element throughout the branding.
